Nuno Figueiredo
Nuno Figueiredo, a composer hailing from Portugal, has carved a remarkable path in both music and education. He completed his master's studies in composition at the esteemed University of Aveiro in Portugal and further pursued his academic journey by earning a doctoral degree from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
Passionate about sharing his musical knowledge, Nuno has been a dedicated educator. He's taught subjects ranging from music analysis and theory to composition techniques, instrumentation, ear training, and chamber music. He's contributed his expertise to institutions such as the Regional Conservatory in Coimbra and the Conservatory of Music and Arts in Santa Comba Dão, both located in Portugal.
Nuno's musical compositions have garnered international acclaim, receiving awards in orchestral, chamber, electronic, and children's music categories. His creations, ranging from contemporary originals to educational pieces for young ensembles, have earned admiration at home and abroad. This recognition led to the publication of a collection of didactic books, designed to support students studying chamber music in music schools and conservatories.
Nuno's melodies have transcended borders, resonating in Portugal, Brazil, France, Ireland, Germany, Hungary, Finland, Monaco, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia. He's humbly enriched his artistry by participating in courses and seminars on composition and conducting, learning from esteemed global mentors.
Beyond his creative pursuits, Nuno Figueiredo founded Ekolio Music Edition, a platform fostering musical expression. Additionally, he's been a valued educator at ZUŠ Pála Kadosa since 2014. His role as conductor for the Da Capo Ensemble in Levice, Slovakia, reflects his dedication to nurturing the talents of emerging musicians.
